 Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic/Inspector

Lake Country Fire & Rescue (LCFR) is actively recruiting motivated firefighter paramedics to fill open positions within our department.

Lake Country Fire & Rescue is a combination department with full-time, part-time and paid-on-call employees. LCFR provides the highest level of EMS Service at the EMT-Paramedic with Critical Care Paramedic endorsed level to its citizens and allows LCFR to transfer critical patients from hospital to hospital with advanced services typically offered in an emergency room. LCFR is part of Western Waukesha RIC, has a stand alone state approved EMS training center, & has a permanent fire training facility on site.

Lake Country Fire & Rescue serves the communities of Chenequa, Nashotah and Delafield, covering approximately 13 square miles. Even though the service areas residential population is fairly low, the transient population is much higher during the daytimes due to either commuters passing through or local business workers. LCFR’s response area also has a 3 mile portion of I-94 running through our southern most response portion and a 3 mile portion of State Highway 16 passing through the center section of the response area. LCFR also covers multiple lakes, parks, railways, schools and four senior living complexes.

Lake Country Fire & Rescue has three fire stations. The main station, which is staffed 24/7 is located in Delafield. Stations 2 is in Nashotah and houses the Training Center and interns. Station 3 is located in Chenequa. Full-time employees work a 24/48 shift schedule, staffing with a minimum of four firefighter/paramedics, one firefighter/EMT, as well as 1 or 2 interns. LCFR offers competitive wages, vacation, excellent health insurance, vision, dental and life insurance and is in the Wisconsin State Retirement System.
