Fire & EMS Cadet Program

Lake Country Fire Rescue has an excellent opportunity for youth ages 14-20.  The Cadet Program meet once a month, and additionally for special events.  Cadets are taught basic firefighting and emergency medical skills. Cadets will also have the opportunity to get an inside look at the fire department and decide if it is a career they would like to pursue.

The Cadets will be provided with all of the gear needed, so participants simply need to show up with a good attitude and an open mind for a hands on learning experience!

Along with monthly training, Cadets will also have the ability to participate in many community events.  This is a great resume builder for volunteer hours!

“Have and show motivation to do and learn. That’s the key for a good career. Everything else is an extrapolation of that.”
